Ahead of JUICE’s release of the CLOT x Nike (NYSE:NKE +1.00%) Cork Dunk, the Swoosh has shared its official imagery, signaling that its own release is just around the corner. While a specific date for the second launch of the shoe has not yet been disclosed, they’re likely to land on shelves in the coming weeks at the $150 USD price point. CLOT has officially announced its Nike Cork Dunk collaboration. Self-expression and creativity are brought to the fore with this new launch as the kicks come packaged with a set of six detachable velcro Swooshes that wrap around the heels. In celebration of CLOT‘s 20th anniversary, the pair is designed with a CLOT20 logo on the sock liner and features “2003” and “2023” in Arabic numerals and Chinese characters on both heels. The collaborative kicks will be launched through a global raffle on June 23, 2023 at select JUICE locations.
After transforming the Cortez into a two-way “CLOTEZ” shoe and tapping fragment design for a three-way Dunk collaboration, CLOT is inserting itself back into the collaborative ring by teasing another Dunk-focused team-up with Nike. Edison Chen has taken to Instagram to tease the heel angle of the kicks to reveal some of its most striking details.
The stand-out feature of the sneakers is its upper build. The side panels, heels and toe boxes are all treated with a cork material and complemented by muted brown accents that appear on the interior linings. Wrap-around Swooshes are included with the kicks and alternate between a bright blue on the right shoe and a gray snakeskin pattern on the left. Additional branding up top can be found via CLOT’s emblems that are debossed onto the medial sides as well as the concealed “2003” and 2023” hits beneath the heel flaps which nod to CLOT’s 20-year anniversary. Down below, the kicks are styled with eggshell-colored midsoles and rounded out with all-brown treading.
