Former PSG doctor: Neymar’s injury could develop

  • Former PSG Dr. Rolland claims that there’s a risk of another injury for Neymar.
  • The player’s fifth metatarsal may suffer.
  • The 27-year-old hasn’t made a single appearance for the Parisians this summer.

Dr. Rolland, who left his post at Paris Saint-Germain this summer, provided a worrying update on Neymar’s injury future.

“Neymar’s foot is too thin and the risk of a setback in his fifth metatarsal is very probable,” told Rolland to Le Parisien.

Earlier this summer, the Brazilian got injured for the second time in a single year. After he had been out during the crucial Champions League fixtures for PSG back in January-February, he has been forced to stay on the sidelines since the Copa America action.

According to the recent reports, Barcelona thoroughly examine the Brazilian’s fitness conditions amid his possible return. During his time at Barca, Neymar was also injury-prone and missed 131 days overall, however, his injury story at Paris Saint-Germain has even succeeded Barca’s as the 27-year-old managed to skip 295 days of competitive action

As reported by RMC Sport, Neymar was the most fouled player across Europe’s major domestic competition last season.
