Barca may now include Dembele in Neymar swap deal

  • Neymar is still convinced he will leave PSG this summer.
  • Barca have not given up on his signing.
  • The Catalans might include Dembele in a possible swap deal.
  • Ousmane, however, wants to stay at Camp Nou.

According to the latest update on the Neymar saga from French outlet Le Parisien, Barcelona could consider including Ousmane Dembele in a possible swap deal for the Brazilian. Nonetheless, the Frenchman is said to be unwilling to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

Reportedly, the 27-year-old is still confident tha he will leave the Ligue 1 outfit despite recent comments from PSG’s coach claiming that Ney could stay put after all.

As for Barcelona, their interest in the ex-Blaugrana has not cooled off yet despite Philippe Coutinho’s move to Bayern Munich. Reportedly, the midfielder was part of Barca’s plan to get Neymar back. However, his departure might be actually a boost for the Catalans as they have freed up a significant part of their wage budget.

Meanwhile, Catalan outlet Diario Sport now claim that Josep Maria Bartomeu is ready to enter the negotiations. Barcelona are allegedly preparing a final offer for Neymar as their most recent one (€60m plus Vidal and Coutinho) was rejected. There is another meeting scheduled for this weekend with the Blaugrana boss personally involved.

Sport believe Bartomeu is optimistic he could strike the deal with PSG and push Real Madrid away. Los Blancos are monitoring closely the whole situation which clearly annoys the Catalans. That’s why Barca want Neymar to go public about his desire to leave as this would force the Parisians to lower their demands.

Right now, PSG’s terms are too high for Barcelona. They allegedly demand Ousmane Dembele who is declared non-transferrable by the Catalans. However, recent updates claim tha Ous might actually change clubs this summer. Moreover, they are simply lacking funds to afford Neymar’s huge transfer fee in full.
