American rapper, T.I. paid tribute to the life of the late Nipsey Hussle on Tuesday, August 14, with the unveiling of the newest addition to Atlanta’s Trap Music Museum.
Unveiling the artwork was hosted as an exclusive event to display the fresh installation alongside co-curator James Miller and artists BK The Artist, Dizzy, and Quake.
The three pieces of artwork express exactly what the philanthropic Los Angeles rapper stood for in his 33 years of life. The labours of love recreated Nipsey’s Victory Lap cover, a red and blue Crenshaw baseball jersey, and the third is an angelic portrait of Neighborhood Nip embedded with everything he loves such as his kids, the Marathon Clothing store front, books, and his partner Lauren London.

Recall the Grammy-nominated rapper was shot dead in the US city of Los Angeles on Sunday, March 31. His death sparked an outpouring of grief from fellow celebrities as the city’s mayor blamed “senseless gun violence.”
Local media reported Hussle, 33, was shot in front of his own clothing store Sunday afternoon at close range, by a man who fled in a getaway car.
“Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy,” LA Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted on hearing the tragic news.
“Hussle had a vision of a neighbourhood built for and by the sons and daughters of South L.A.” said city councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson in a statement following news of the rapper’s death.
“During his life, he moved from shadows into the bright hope of freedom and community revitalization.”
Nipsey Hussle would have been 34, yesterday, August 15.
