Rapper Megan Thee Stallion has opened up in a tearful display about being shot in the feet. Megan addressed her shooting in an emotional social media video on Monday.
She recently told on Instagram that she had “suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against her.”
While specifics of the case remain unclear, it has been reported that musician Tory Lanez had pulled the trigger following a fiery brawl.
He was arrested that same night on a charge of carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle \and was later released on bond.
Getting emotional during the ten-minute broadcast, she spoke about the surgery to remove bullets from both her feet after the shooting and added that the bullets did not hit bone or tendons.
It missed everything, but the motherfuckers were in there. I am alive and well and strong as f**k. It was like just the worst experience of my life, and it’s not funny. There’s nothing to joke about. There was nothing for y’all to start going and making up fake stories about. I didn’t put my hands on nobody. I didn’t deserve to get shot, I didn’t do shit.
Megan added:
Imagine being 25, and you don’t have both of your parents. My mama was my best friend, you know I’m not over that. So you’ve got to try to feel like you’re in a space with a bunch of people who make you happy.
She explained why she hadn’t been discussing the incident in recent weeks:
It’s not that I was protecting somebody. I just wasn’t ready to speak. That’s not just some s**t you get on the Internet and talk about. So f**k y’all and all my fake a*s friends and the blogs and their sources. This has made me realise how to move forward and how to protect my energy.
Megan concluded by assuring fans she would be returning to making music and performing soon.
