“It’s evident that when we sold Luis Suarez, we didn’t bring a replacement. The coach is asking for Memphis Depay but I think that the striker position is one that would be very good to cover, and there are many spectacular ‘number nines’. One of them is Erling Haaland, a footballer whom I would be very excited to have,” presidential candidate Victor Font has said during an online meeting with the fans.
“Although I think it’s good that we manage the expectations of the Barcelona club members realistically. The pandemic has put us in a critical situation and we will not be able to make all the big signings we want, at least in the short term. But we can always build on the talent we already have at La Masia.”
