Barcelona’s loanee attempted a last-ditch clearance which may now force him to retire.
Earlier this week, we reported on Barcelona loanee Moussa Wague’s heroic goal-line clearance which saw him stretchered off.
Sadly, the Senegalese defender could now consider early retirement because of the injuries he sustained in this episode, Greek sources inform, as quoted by Diario Sport.
The 22-year-old ruptured his patellar tendon, medial collateral, posterior and anterior cruciate ligament in the right knee.
He will have surgery in Barcelona and is now expected to miss a year of action.
The nature and severity of the injuries may seriously affect his further professional career.
Before the injury, Wague was doing rather well for PAOK, providing 1 assist in 12 games in all competitions.
Afriupdate wish Moussa Wague speedy recovery
