The gaffer isn’t sure whether McTominay will recover in time for the game.
Ole hopes that Cavani and Van de Beek are both available for the Newcastle game.
When asked about the condition of his injured stars ahead of the Newcastle United clash, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Paul (Pogba) is out, Phil (Jones) is out. I don’t know how Scott (McTominay) is.
“I’m not sure how Edinson (Cavani) & Donny (Van de Beek) will be either – they’ve got a chance I think. We’ve just got to give them until before training on Saturday, so we’ll see how they are. Hopefully they can both be available.”
Cavani and Van de Beek both missed the Real Sociedad clash after suffering muscle injuries last week. With Man United in desperate need of a win over Newcastle, Ole will be hopeful his two attacking stars can recover in time for the game.
