The Rooney name is tied to many wonder goals through the years, with Wayne scoring from all areas of the pitch during his illustrious career.
However, this time it’s his younger brother, John, who might hit the headlines for an unbelievable strike.
The midfielder, currently playing National League side Stockport County, scored from his own half against Rochdale on Saturday in the FA Cup first round.
With only seven minutes on the clock, the 29-year-old nicked the ball from the toes of a Rochdale midfielder before perfectly chipping it over the opposition goalkeeper to give his side the lead.
The strike looked eerily similar to when his brother Wayne netted a similar goal for DC United in MLS just last year.

His slightly more famous brother, Wayne,is currently having a very different Saturday. England’s all-time top scorer is playing for Derby County in the Championship – and losing 1-0 to Barnsley at half-time.
