- The Catalans have already seen two of their offers rejected.
- PSG have particularly asked for the Frenchman which could be the only valuable option following Coutinho’s move.
- Still, they are unwilling to deal with Barca and could make Neymar stay.
What’s new on the Neymar agenda? Highly reliable ESPN claim that Barcelona are preparing a third offer to Paris Saint-Germain. Moreover, they will use Ousmane Dembele as a makeweight, something they were reluctant to do previously
The Catalans have already made two offers for Neymar. The first one included Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic and €80m while. Meanwhile, the second one was a €190m proposal to sign him on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy. However, the Parisians have been blocking all Barca’s attempts to bring the Brazilian back.
With Coutinho gone for Bayern Munich, Barca are left without a valuable player to offer in the exchange deal. It’s been widely reported that PSG have particularly been asking for Dembele as Thomas Tuchel used to work with him at Borussia Dortmund. It seems that Dembele’s most recent injury and yet another questionable behaviour made the Catalans change their minds.
ESPN believe Barca’s next offer will be their last one. PSG board, for their part, reportedly keep waiting for an official bid from Juventus or Real Madrid as they are unwilling to deal with the Catalans. However, nothing has arrived from either of the sides yet.
ESPN describe Barca’s general mood as ‘positive’. Still, the Parisians may reject their final offer as well. In that case, Neymar could remain at PSG for the 2019/2020 campaign even though he hasn’t played since May.
