Meanwhile, Italy-based defender, Tyrone Ebuehi, yesterday arrived in Cameroun and joined the rest of the team in camp at the Hotel Ribadou de Garoua. However, Super Eagles left back, Jamilu Collins, who is yet to arrive in the Eagles’ camp, is still being expected.

Nigeria will begin its campaign on Tuesday, when the team takes on seven-time AFCON champions, Egypt in a Group D encounter. The match will be played by 5:00pm at the Stade Roumdé Adjia.

The fixture on papers is arguably the toughest match of the group’s fixtures, which also has Sudan and debutant, Guinea Bissau.

The Eagles will be led to this year’s AFCON by Interim Coach, Augustine Eguavoen, who was an on-field captain when the senior male football national team won it in Tunisia 1994 and also won twice the third place match as an assistant coach and the head coach.
