Biafra: ‘Buhari Govt Wrong To Have Proscribed IPOB’
Anambra State President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene has called on the Nigerian Government to erase the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) because, he argued, the organization does not threaten lives and property.
Addressing reporters recently in Awka, the Anambra state capital, Okeke-Ogene urged security operatives to concentrate more in the Northeast to end the unwanted killings by those who, he said, hate the unity of Nigeria. Read more here.
Top Biafran Activist Blasts Igbo Leaders For Dissociating Self From Nnamdi Kanu’s ESN
Amaka Ekwo, the former Press Secretary to Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu, has expressed annoyance with Igbo elders, under the aegis of Conference of Igbo Elders for Peace and Development, for condemning Nnamdi Kanu’s newly-created security outfit – Eastern Security Network (ESN).
Recall Afriupdate News had reported that Igbo elders criticised the ESN, describing it as illegal and asking the governors in the South-East region of Nigeria to immediately move against the action by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Read more here.
