Armed forces tasked with collaborating with other security services

Abatcha Bukar, a suspected foreign logistics provider to Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT)/Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP), was detained by soldiers on the frontlines.

Bukar was taken into custody along with a variety of injections, ATM cards, and N294,520 in cash.

Giving reporters an update on the activities of the Nigerian Armed Forces (AFN) and other security services from the various operating theatres spread throughout the six geopolitical zones of the nation, Maj-Gen. According to Musa Danmadami, OPHK troops operated on the outskirts of a number of villages and settlements in the local councils of Kukawa, Dikwa, Bama, Kaga, Monguno, Guzamala, Konduga, Gwoza, and Mafa in Borno State, as well as Gujba Local Council in Yobe.

52 suspected BHT/ISWAP fighters were neutralized by forces during the operations, while 14 terrorists were taken into custody. Two unexploded grenades, 12 AK-47 rifles, FN rifles, five AK-47 magazines, an automatic grenade launcher, a hand grenade, an AP mine, 86 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a motorcycle, 16 bows and arrows, seven bicycles, and 10 cell phones were also found.

They also freed three Chibok women, Jinkai Yama, Falmata Lawal, and Asabe Ali, along with their children and 19 other abductees, according to Danmadami.

He mentioned that on September 3, 2022, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), in partnership with the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Center in Jos, distributed 220 tricycles and bags of rice to the People Living With Disabilities (PLWD) in the states of Plateau and Bauchi as part of its non-kinetic strategy for winning over the hearts of the locals and encouraging peaceful coexistence.

Officers of the AFN have been tasked with collaborating with other security agencies to address the nation’s security concerns.

Yesterday, the Commander of the Armoured Corps, Maj-Gen, delivered the speech. Suleiman Idris at the 33 Artillery Brigade, Bauchi command post exercise, Exercise Enduring Peace, in Jos.

Idris, who was the exercise’s Special Guest of Honor, spoke during the Night Walk Round phase and praised the participants for fostering a sense of teamwork and for exchanging the professional insights necessary for a successful operation.

He urged the troops to use the exercise to enhance their professional conduct in the field because contemporary security issues necessitate ongoing training and cooperation among various security agencies working toward a shared objective.

General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Nigerian Army’s 3rd Division and Commander of OPSH, Maj-Gen. According to Ibrahim Ali, the increased coordination between security agencies contributed to the success of recent operations.

Brig. Gen. Bauchi, commander of the 33rd Artillery Brigade, gave a welcome speech earlier. According to John Adeyemo, the exercise was a component of the Chief of Army Staff’s (COAS) training orders to improve unit training in order to address the nation’s security issues.
