“Memphis [Depay] is an exceptional player. He’s raising the club, along with other players. The team has a completely incredible chance of meeting its objectives this season and for that, we need to maintain all our strength. He will stay,” Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has said to RMC Sport.
Despite all that was said, the Dutchman reportedly remains Barcelona’s priority target. However, the decision of whether to land Depay will fully depend on the new president who is set to be elected in January, according to various reports.
