Barcelona are on the verge of being knocked out of the Champions League ahead of tonight’s clash against Bayern Munich.

Should Inter Milan beat Viktoria Plzen in the early kick-off, any hopes Barcelona have of reaching the knockout stages will be over and they will compete in the Europa League in the New Year.
Even if Plzen do Xavi’s side a favour, there is still then the small matter of beating Bayern, who have a superb record against Barcelona in recent years and came out on top in Munich earlier this season.

Bayern are already through to the last 16 but can secure top spot in Group C should they continue their perfect group-stage record with a fifth win on the bounce.
