Speaking about his role in the France squad for the World Cup, Jules Kounde said: “To be honest, I had spoken to the coach before the World Cup.
“I knew I was going to play as a right back, and I feel good there. I could even play on the left, let’s see.”
Kounde started France’s last game against Denmark as a right-back and is likely to play that role for them, with Benjamin Pavard not being in the best of form.
With the French side having problems in the left-back position, it remains to be seen if the Barcelona defender is played in that role going forward.
