- Liverpool host Arsenal on Saturday.
- Klopp predicts Emery will field Xhaka and Pepe in the starting XI.
- The manager is amazed by the attacking pace we have.
Klopp was asked about Arsenal and who he expects to see in Emery’s starting line-up. The Liverpool boss made his prediction:
“Arsenal will make, I think, two changes? They will bring in Pepe, which will not make them weaker, and Xhaka. Good team, real pace, wow! But I look forward to these games.”
Pepe already featured for Arsenal in a 2-1 win over Burnley. He was introduced in the second half from the bench. Meanwhile, Xhaka seems to have fully recovered from a minor injury and is in contention for selection. At least, Granit was pictured in full training with the squad ahead of the trip to Anfield.
Unai Emery said he would make a decision on Pepe before the game:
“For Saturday, he is maybe ready to have more minutes. I am going to decide tomorrow, but really his progress has been positive and has been good for the team and for him. The most important piece of the adaptation is to help him to feel easy and be comfortable with us.”
