“Gavi is a competitive beast. He presses very well, his positioning is great,” Xavi has said in the press conference ahead of the Catalan derby.
“He still has to learn things, tactical situations that he has to improve but he is a spectacular talent, what he does at 17 years of age is incredible. It is wonderful to train him.
“Gavi needs to be more organised, he needs to find the right solutions at the right moments, he needs to attack the space better, to know when to let the wingers inside and such tactical issues.”
Despite being only 17, Gavi is already a key player at the first team. This term so far, the midfielder has played 26 games for Barcelona, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
