Edmilson believes that Barca have signed players that don’t show much on the pitch.
Over the past three years, Barca have spent €395m on Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann alone.
“Barcelona have signed players who have not shown much on the field, they have invested a lot in those players. And, unfortunately, when a lot is invested in players who do not give collective or individual results, the crisis arrives,” former Blaugrana player Edmilson has told Marca Claro.
Since Neymar’s departure to PSG, the Catalans have invested loads of money in order to bring in a replacement, signing Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann for a total of €395m.
However, all of them are yet to prove their worth. And while Dembele can be really good at times, his constant injuries have been a major letdown.
