Arsenal beat Bournemouth 1-0 at the Emirates to move to third in the Premier League.

A first half goal from David Luiz was enough for the victory over Eddie Howe’s side, which moves the Gunners to third in the Premier League, just a point behind Manchester City who were beaten 2-0 by Wolves at the Etihad.

Bournemouth threatened an equaliser in the second half, with Callum Wilson and Dominic Solanke going close, but Luiz’s first goal for Arsenal was enough for the three points.

But with the international break on the horizon, here’s the latest news doing the rounds in North London.

Arsenal fans noticed a ‘new signing’ on the teamsheet before Bournemouth game

Unai Emery resisted calls from fans to start Gabriel Martinelli over Nicolas Pepe for the Bournemouth game, despite the Brazilian forward’s impressive form in midweek against Standard Liege.

And Pepe was named on the teamsheet before the game – or was he?

After scoring the match winning goal, David Luiz was understandably delighted, but one of his teammates also showed remarkable enthusiasm in the celebration.

New club captain Granit Xhaka could be seen sprinting after Luiz and then jumping onto his back before bringing him down, which sparked a giant pile-on from the other Arsenal players.

And Arsenal fans took to social media to laugh at the rather vigorous celebration from the Swiss midfielder.
