The Brazilian midfielder covered every inch of the pitch on Wednesday.

Fred was at his energetic best for Man United in their 2-1 win over Fulham on Wednesday.
The Brazilian covered almost the entirety of the pitch and was brave with his relentless pressing deep inside Fulham’s half to trouble their players.

Warrior: Fred goes the extra mile to win back possession despite being fouled repeatedly by Fulham players

  • In one moment late in the second half, the Brazilian found the ball outside the box and tried making a run into the byline.

  • However, Fulham’s defenders doubled up on him and tried getting physical to recover possession – even though they were repeatedly fouling him.

  • Despite going down on the ground, the midfielder was sharp to rise up and win back possession just beside the corner flag.

  • He then held up possession expertly before Fulham’s defender was finally forced to commit a sliding challenge that sent the ball for a throw-in.
  • Fred could’ve gone down after being fouled repeatedly in that exchange, but the fact that he stood strong to fight against both Fulham’s players shows the kind of hard-working, tenacious player he is.
