United to compete Chelsea for £30m PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare - Sky Sports

Man United are interested in signing PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international is believed to have a release clause of around £30million in his deal with the Dutch club.

Sangare excelled in some key stats in Eredivisie which might have drawn Erik ten Hag’s attention as his Ajax side fought PSV for the league title.

The player himself is keen on a move to the Premier League, but Man United might not be the only option. Chelsea are also interested in Sangare as a potential cover for N’Golo Kante.

United, meanwhile, lack numbers in midfield. Fred, Scott McTominay and Donny van de Beek are the only players in the squad who could fill that role – although James Garner might be given a shot as well.
