Man United have rebuffed an initial approach from Southampton to sign Brandon Williams on loan for the rest of the season, as per The Telegraph.
It’s said that Newcastle United also want to sign the youngster on loan and are willing to fight the Saints for his signing.
Alongside Williams, Dan James and Jesse Lingard are some of the other United players reportedly attracting loan interest from elsewhere.
James, however, wants to stay and fight for his place at United so it’s unlikely for him to be shipped out in the winter transfer window.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted recently that he would look into sanctioning a loan move for Williams, who has fallen out of favour after Alex Telles’ arrival at Old Trafford.
