The Englishman was at risk of becoming a free agent in the summer.
Man United have extended Jesse Lingard’s contract for one year which will now see it expire in 2021.
The Englishman’s previous deal was supposed to expire in the summer and the Red Devils probably didn’t want him to leave as a free agent.
Lingard has not started a Premier League game for United this season and found himself drop way down in the pecking order.
Sheffield United reportedly want to sign him on loan in January, but it remains to be seen what happens after this contract extension.
