Thomas Tuchel says he takes responsibility for his decision to bench Hakim Ziyech.
Tuchel added that it is a good thing however, as it shows that the squad has quality.
The manager has said that thanks to the hectic schedule, all the players will be needed.
“It is my fault, it is my decision,” Tuchel said during his pre-match press conference.

“For Hakim and some other players here are hard decisions to make, it is a good thing because it means we have quality.

“There are some decisions for other players that means Hakim suffers at the moment, I can understand so it is my responsibility in this case that he cannot show more.

“When I look at the rhythm and schedule for the next days I am sure we will need all of our players.”

Ziyech hasn’t looked the same since his return from injury and has been left out to accommodate the in-form Hudson-Odoi.

The Moroccan’s quality has been obvious during his time at Chelsea, however, and he should get another opportunity to showcase his talents soon.
