Pedri scored his 3rd goal of the season in the 3-2 Athletic Bilbao win on Wednesday night and celebrated it by sticking his tongue out.
He later explained his gesture, writing on Twitter after the game: “I hope you like the birthday present” and tagging Francisco Rodriguez Llarena, a member of the Tenerife squad.
Llarena replied: “Always with you, thank you.”
It’s great to see Pedri keeping in touch with his childhood friends after completing his dream move to Barca.
The 18-year-old scored the equalizer and assisted on Leo Messi’s 1st goal in Wednesday’s win.
In total, he has registered 3 goals and 2 assists in 22 games for Barca this season.
