The World War II veteran, who helped raise millions for the NHS, passed away on Tuesday.
Rashford hopes that the 100-year-old’s legacy will live on ‘for years to come’.
On Tuesday, Marcus Rashford wrote on Twitter: “You have inspired generation after generation with your kindness, your perseverance and your strength.
“You fought for other until the very end. A role model to so many at a time of such difficulty, your legacy will live on for years to come.
“Thank you for being the shining light of 2020. Rest in peace Captain Sir Tome. My thoughts are very much with your loved ones.”
Captain Sir Tom Moore tragically passed away on Tuesday at the age of 100 following his Covid-19 hospitalisation on Sunday.
Last year, World War II veteran walked 100 lengths of his garden to help raise £38.9 million for the NHS and was knighted was his efforts.
