Ter Stegen says he doesn’t really have a favourite save.
If he had to choose one, it would be the save against Bayern from back in 2015.
Marc-Andre says that save was an important one because Barca weren’t playing too well in that game.
During an event organized by Barcelona’s sponsor Rakuten, Marc-Andre ter Stegen was asked what was his best ever save.
“I don’t have one in particular because I really enjoy playing and saving shots. If we go back to the year we won the Champions League and played in Munich, maybe that one. We were not playing too well and it was super important that they didn’t score that goal,” Mundo Deportivo quote the goalkeeper saying.
Back in 2015, Barcelona met with Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals. The Catalans won the home clash 3-0 thanks and had good chances to go through.
The return leg wasn’t as easy as Barca ended up losing 3-2. However, it was enough to go through and we eventually won the CL after beating Juventus 3-1 in the final.
