Ten hag reveals why Christian Ericksen transfer was delayed as Man United plans sudden announcement as medical set.

MANCHESTER UNITED is expected to sign Christian Eriksen this summer.

Manchester United are apparently planning to introduce Christian Eriksen as a new acquisition during their summer tour of Australia. Eriksen is presently a free agent after leaving Brentford at the conclusion of last season, but he is likely to sign a three-year deal at Old Trafford.

This summer, United appointed Erik ten Hag as their new manager, succeeding interim manager Ralf Rangnick, who left the club quickly. And the Dutchman is expected to add a slew of players ahead of the new season, having already signed Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord.

Eriksen has been on United’s radar all summer as Ten Hag wants to improve his inventiveness in the center of the field. And the player’s arrival could be announced soon.

According to ESPN, the Denmark international has now passed a comprehensive medical with the Red Devils and has verbally accepted to the three-year contract. And United are confident that the ex-Tottenham Hotspur player would be allowed to join his new teammates in Australia.
United landed in Australia on Wednesday to resume their summer tour. The 13-time Premier League champions hammered Liverpool 4-0 on Tuesday at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, thanks to first-half goals from Jadon Sancho, Fred, and Anthony Martial, as well as a second-half strike from Facundo Pellistri.
Ten Hag’s team will now face A-League side Melbourne Victory on Friday at the city’s cricket pitch, before facing Crystal Palace at the same site next Tuesday. On Saturday, July 23, they will conclude their tour in Australia with a match against Aston Villa at Perth’s Optus Stadium.
Eriksen will provide much-needed experience to the United squad having appeared in 237 Premier League games for Tottenham and Brentford. The 30-year-old first came to England in 2013 when he joined Spurs from Ajax. However, he departed north London six and a half years later to join Inter Milan.

Eriksen experienced a heart episode while competing for Denmark at Euro 2020 last summer. He was then implanted with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator, which precluded him from playing in Serie A. As a result, he was released by Inter and joined Brentford in the Premier League in January.

The creative talent, who has 115 caps for his country, appeared 11 times for Thomas Frank’s club during the second part of last season and demonstrated that he still has what it takes to succeed at the top of the game. And Ten Hag will be salivating at the prospect of witnessing the player in action at Old Trafford.
