Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Thiago Silva will miss the game against Southampton.
Tuchel added that Kai Havertz will travel with the team on Saturday.
Tammy Abraham will train on Friday but Christian Pulisic is struggling with a calf issue.
“We are very happy that Tammy is very good and is free for training today at 3pm,” Thomas Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference.

“If things go well then he is in the squad.

“Thiago will be out for the game, he’s not ready and we have some issues with Christian Pulisic’s calf, it feels tight. It’s nothing big but it’s in a bit of zone of risk.

“Kai Havertz is back in training and will be ready to join us at Southampton.”

With Mason Mount and Timo Werner’s form in attack, Chelsea have the necessary depth to feel no need to rush Pulisic or Abraham back into the squad.

Havertz could be in line to make his first appearance for Chelsea in the month of February.
