The Red Devils face City in the EFL Cup semi-final next week.
Man United were eliminated from the Europa League, the FA Cup and EFL Cup at the same stage last season.
Speaking about the upcoming Manchester City Carabao Cup clash, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “We are happy to be in a semi-final and of course a semi-final is a chance to go to the final.

“Last year we were just not capable of going through [to the final]. I think we’ve improved since then and we are going to give it a go.

“With regards to the league position, it is a long, long season and I still think we’ve got a lot to learn. Let’s see March, April where we are then.”

Last season, Manchester United managed to lose three semi-finals: in the Europa League (against Sevilla), the FA Cup (against Chelsea) and EFL Cup (against Man City).
