Sir Alex Ferguson says that the 2011 Barca were the team that has made the biggest impression on him.
He calls that side ‘unplayable’.
In his interview with France Football, legendary Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson was asked what side was the closest to the ‘dream team’ label.
“The one that had made the biggest impression on me is the Barcelona we faced at Wembley, with United, in the 2011 Champions League final. They were unplayable.”
The Catalans were coached by Pep Guardiola at that time. Barca beat Man United 3-1 in the Wembley final thanks to goals from Leo Messi, Pedro and David Villa to win their second CL trophy in three years. Two years prior, they beat the Red Devils in the CL final in Rome.
