Ryan Giggs explains what Bruno must do to earn Eric Cantona comparisons

The former United winger insists that Fernandes’ body language makes it easy to guess that he’s a natural-born winner.
But Giggs believes that Bruno needs to win trophies with United to make an impact similar to Cantona’s.
Speaking about what Bruno Fernandes must do to earn his comparisons with Eric Cantona at Man United, Ryan Giggs said: “Eric, when we won the FA Cup in 95-96, he was the difference.

“In the big games he would every often be the difference. Fernandes undoubtedly has had a massive impact on United. There have been comparisons with Eric and the impact he has had – not just his quality but the fact everyone around him seems to be playing better.

“You can just see he is a winner. When things aren’t going right he is telling other players, he’s having a go at the referee, he is constantly moaning and he wants to win.

“He has been a revelation since he came to United. Like all top players, he has to do it in the big games and then win trophies.”

Bruno has often been compared to Cantona because of the incredible impact he’s made at United so early in his career. The Portuguese midfielder even matched Cantona’s record as the quickest player to provide 15 assists in the Premier League recently.

Fernandes, however, is not interested in comparisons and made it sure that he won’t be happy until he wins prominent trophies with United and gets us back to the top of English football.
