Ronaldo - 2, Sancho - 8: Rating Man United players in Southampton draw

Jadon Sancho – 8/10: The winger scored our only goal of the game and was a creative outlet as well. His decision-making in the final third needs to be better but it looks like Sancho has found his scoring boots again.
Cristiano Ronaldo – 2/10: The goal drought continues for the Portuguese, who was easily one of the least-involved players in the game. Missed a couple of good chances and was offside too often. Maybe it’s time to drop him for a few games.

Paul Pogba – 7/10: Did really well in the first half but like the rest of the team, he faded off a little after the break. Nevertheless, he was still a strong presence in midfield.

Harry Maguire – 4/10: He had a good first half but the captain’s defending was a let-down after half-time, leaving De Gea to do most of the work between the sticks. Maguire spotted flailing his arms about and doing nothing to stop a Southampton attack in the dying minutes of the game. Clearly, not his best.

Diogo Dalot – 6/10: Where Maguire failed, Dalot stepped up. He made a solid block to deny Southampton a winning goal before the final whistle. However, the full-back must improve his work in the attacking third.

The rest: De Gea – 6/10, Shaw – 5/10, Varane – 6/10, McTominay – 5/10, Rashford – 5/10, Fernandes – 6/10.

Subs: Elanga – 4/10, Lingard – 4/10.
