Ronaldinho sends Messi heartfelt message after Ballon d’Or night

On Monday, Leo Messi received his record-breaking sixth Ballon d’Or.

Messi’s former Barcelona long-time attacking partner Ronaldinho couldn’t miss this glorious moment and congratulated his old friend on the personal Instagram account:

Congratulations on the much-deserved achievement, unfortunately, it was not possible to be with you tonight in Paris, but inside my heart is all affection and esteem for the amazing person you are, as an athlete doesn’t need to speak, every game is a show!!!”

Ronaldinho played at Barcelona between 2003 and 2008. The Brazilian was the last Barcelona player before Leo Messi to win the Ballon d’Or in 2006.

By the way, while claiming the trophy back then, Roni showed true class and praised Messi instead: This award says I’m the best player in the world but I’m not even the best player at Barcelona.”
