“It’s been a difficult year for me, but as my father tells me, we have to keep fighting. This goal will be good for me,” Riqui Puig said after scoring his debut goal for Barcelona vs Elche.
“It was a very good move by Frenkie de Jong. He put it on a plate for me and I was able to score with my head, something I haven’t been able to do a lot in my career.”
Puig’s strike against Elche became his first one for the senior team. Curiously, the 21-year-old scored it with his head despite being the shortest player on the team.
