Catalunya Radio reported on Tuesday that the Competition Committee launched an investigation into Ronald Koeman’s comments about VAR after the Real Madrid clash.
However, Diario Sport claim that, formally, the Barcelona coach can’t be banned because he didn’t break any rules.
A player or coach can be suspended for questioning “the honesty and impartiality of any member of the arbitration group” or disapproving “the activity of any member of the groups mentioned”.
Koeman, meanwhile, did neither of those things; he only complained about VAR application.
