Paul Pogba wanted to join Barcelona over Manchester United back in 2016 according to reputable source The Athletic.
However, the Catalans didn’t have the financial capabilities to make the move happen.
As a reminder, United signed Pogba from Juventus for a then-record €105m plus €5m in add-ons.
Paul’s current contract with the Red Devils expires in 2022; his agent Mino Raiola has recently said that the midfielder’s time at the Old Trafford is over.
When running for the presidency in 2015, Joan Laporta promised to bring Pogba to Barca; he’s known to have a good relationship with Raiola.
