Pedri reportedly picks new shirt number for next season – it’s iconic

Teenage sensation Pedri has decided to take the number 8 squad number ahead of the coming campaign, Mundo Deportivo understand.
Pedri previously donned the no.16 at Barca, but will now take on the new iconic jersey from next season onwards.

The no. 8 was last worn by Dani Alves at Barcelona, but it was made famous by Xavi – a midfield master at Barca and their current gaffer.

The 19-year-old is fully recovered from his muscle problem and will join the club for their preseason during the coming week.
