Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reacted to Paul Pogba’s performance and goal against Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Man United emerged victorious after an intense game at Fulham. Edinson Cavani scored United’s first goal but unfortunately, it was an equalising goal for the Reds after Lookman had put the hosts in front after five minutes of action.
Paul Pogba showed why he is a World-class midfielder yet again. The World Cup winner fired United in front after his left-footed striker made the difference yet again.
The France star has been on sensational form in recent weeks. The 27-year-old won Man United all three points at Burnley after scoring a late volley at Turf Moor.
Pogba went close to do the same at Anfield against Liverpool but Alisson Becker denied the Frenchman from a close range.
The midfielder would go on to lay his anger on Fulham and successfully fetched United all three points.
Manchester United win over the Cottagers are their tenth win from 13 league matches. The Red Devils have gone 13 games unbeaten (10W 3D) and occupying the top spot in the Premier League is well deserved.
“Fantastic goal by Paul [Pogba] and we had some other chances to finish the game but of course when it is just one goal and the players they put on it is going to be like heart in your mouth,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told BT Sport of Paul Pogba’s goal.
“He [Pogba] has really come on,” Solskjaer said of Pogba’s recent displays. “He is fit, he can play in midfield and he can play wide. That is key with Paul, getting him match fit and running fit and he is at the moment. He played very well.”
The Manchester United tactician did not just end there. Solskjaer would go on to tell BBC how versatile the former Juventus midfielder can be.
“We have always said Paul [Pogba] can do everything, he can play wide, play in midfield, create chances and shoot, Solskjaer said. “Today we felt his position was midfield and what a goal with his left foot. He was so committed and got tackles in as well.”
