Manchester United are only a “few hours” away from confirming their third summer signing.
According to prominent transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez will be introduced as the Red Devils’ latest signing later on Sunday.
Martinez, 24, will be reunited with former manager Erik ten Hag after United and Ajax completed a £46 million agreement.
The flamboyant South American is anticipated to join his new colleagues soon and is expected to play a significant role in ten Hag’s first Premier League campaign.
When commenting about United’s plan to unveil Martinez, Romano wrote on Sunday morning in his exclusive CaughtOffside SubStack column: “Lisandro Martinez’s official announcement is a matter of hours.” Man United will contact you once the VISA has been obtained.
“The club documents have already been signed; the total cost with add-ons is €55 million.” Lisandro is in Manchester, preparing to sign the contract with his representatives.”
