Neymar puts rest to rumors about any Barcelona move.

Neymar is out of a contract in 2022 and many fans and critics have been speculating on his career. The one club that the Brazilian kept getting linked with was Barcelona however, Neymar finally stopped all the speculations regarding his transfer and loyalty in a recent post-match interview. He pledges his loyalty to Paris Saint-Germain and it seems the club and the player will reach an agreement over the terms of the new contract.

After the last UEFA Champions League group stage match, Neymar was asked about his current situation with his contract running out. The 28-year-old said in the interview,

“I am very happy here in Paris, I am very happy at the club, with my teammates. The idea of leaving does not cross my mind. We need to talk. We have a very good relationship, I am very happy at Paris Saint-Germain.”

The match was a very clear victory for the French champions and they topped the group by defeating Istanbul Basaksehir 5-1. Neymar scored a solid hat trick while Kylian Mbappe managed a neat brace. The Brazilian was in a cheerful mood after the victory and even admitted his wishes about playing with Lionel Messi next year.

With the interview, Neymar has effectively closed the Barca saga once and for all and his hints about playing with Messi left fans questioning whether the Argentine would join one of his best friends in Paris next season. The reunion of the two players is desired by the fans but it seems like it won’t take place in La Liga, but could take place in the Ligue 1.
