Joan Laporta describes Koeman as ‘one of Barca’s greats’ and reminds that he is the club’s current coach.
On Xavi, Laporta says that he is a true reference for all players.
“Ronald Koeman deserves respect. He’s one of Barca’s greats. He has a valid contract and we need to understand his situation, it is very difficult. He’s our manager,” Joan Laporta said while presenting his presidential campaign.
On Xavi, he added: “I really appreciate Xavi. He is a reference for all players and La Masia. I have not spoken to him.”
Laporta’s rival for Barcelona president, Victor Font, is betting on Xavi to lead Barca if he’s elected.
The Catalans have played 13 games under Koeman: 8 wins, 2 draws, 3 defeats.
