The 22-year-old says he is feeling fine and on his way to recovery.
He thanks PAOK’s and Barca’s medical teams for their help, as well as all his teammates and fans for their support.
“Hi everybody! Just wanted to let you know that I am fine, already back on my way to recover. It will take some time, but I will be back stronger than ever before!” Moussa Wague has just posted on his Instagram.
The right-back added: “Thanks a lot to the medical departments of PAOK and Barcelona, my teammates and all fans for your wishes and support after my injury.”
As a reminder, Wague suffered a serious knee injury while playing for PAOK on loan. He had surgery in Barcelona on Saturday.
Wague is expected to be out for around nine months amid previous reports that the 22-year-old could consider early retirement because of the injury.
Before the injury, Wague was doing rather well on loan at PAOK, providing one assist in 12 games in all competitions.
