The Polish striker reckons that Leo has already achieved a lot in his career.
“He [Messi] is a great player, one of the greatest in history. Maybe you have to wait 100 years for someone like him to be born again. With what he has already done, he is and will be one of the greatest in all of history,” Robert Lewandowski has told Ole.
Messi and Lewandowski are among the nominees for the FIFA’s The Best Awards for 2020. Leo finished the previous season with 58 goal contributions (31 goals, 27 assists) but failed to win a trophy while Lewandowski got 65 goal contributions (55 goals, 10 assists) and won 5 trophies with Bayern Munich.
