Mason Mount says Chelsea played very well in the win against Spurs.
Mount added he’s still learning how to play in a more advanced ‘false 9’ type role.
The youngster has said finishing is something for the Blues to work on in training.
“It is tough to come here and control throughout but we played very well,” Mount explained to BT Sport after the game.
“We had a lot of control in the first half, we had chances where we need to be more clinical, myself included.
“The manager wants us to play in that style and it is working well, it is new and different for some us including me as a false nine and we are all learning.
“It will be difficult for other teams because different formations and tactics means they won’t know what we will come with.
“I told him (Thomas Tuchel) I should have scored today and did not have my scoring boots on today. Something to work on in training.”
Mason Mount had another bright game for the Blues but could have done better to put the game to bed.
Chelsea got into a number of excellent positions but couldn’t convert that into more goals, allowing Tottenham hope in the second half before eventually seeing the game out.
