“I always feel like Southampton are better on the road, but their home form is decent too – the fifth-best in the Premier League in fact,” ex-Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson told BBC.
“Liverpool have not been great away this season but I just have a feeling they will get back to winning ways on the south coast.”
Southampton have not won once in the last 4 Premier League games, a run that includes draws against Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham and a defeat to Man City.
Liverpool have not had outstanding results recently either: they have drawn the last two matches against West Bromwich and Newcastle. Still, it is Liverpool who Lawrenson backs to win the game on Monday night, predicting a 2-1 win for the Reds.
