United moved to second in the Premier League table with their last-gasp 1-0 win over Wolves, which was their final match of 2020.
The January transfer window opens in a matter of days and there will no doubt be plenty of speculation over whether there will be any incoming to Old Trafford, particularly after the Reds failed to land targets Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho in the summer.
Last January saw the Reds sign Bruno Fernandes, who immediately became an integral part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and transformed their season.
Yet, speaking on Amazon Prime, Neville argued that, aside from Fernandes, there are few examples of a January signing having an immediate impact.
The former United defender also said he does not feel there are any players available in January that would suit Solskjaer’s side.
He said: “I can’t see it. I don’t see any player out there at this moment in time who can improve them that’s available. Apart from Fernandes last January, I don’t see many signings in January actually changing how a club works.”
Neville believes United have the squad to maintain a title challenge without dipping into the transfer market.
