Man United fans were not scared to express their actual sentiments toward the Ajax midfielder and former transfer target.

Manchester United fans have reacted angrily to Jurrien Timber’s recent social media remark.

The defender appears to have backed down from a move to Old Trafford due to concerns about losing his spot in the Netherlands World Cup team following Louis van Gaal’s warning. Erik ten Hag’s main summer aim was him.

Instead, it appears that interest has shifted to Timber’s Ajax teammate, Lisandro Martinez, with United making a £37 million move for the Argentine. Timber was apparently wanted in part because of his versatility, as he can play both right and center back.

With Aaron Wan-Bissaka eligible for transfer, this would have come in useful. However, Timber appears to have changed his mind after Van Gaal stated that if his playing time at Old Trafford is limited, he may not board the plane to Qatar.
United fans responded to the notion by commenting on his Twitter photo, which shows him next to his car outside an Ajax complex with the club badge in shot. He named still here tho,’ which elicited an immediate response from United fans.
