The opening of the winter transfer window is just three weeks away, and Manchester United are one of many teams that really need to be looking to invest in some new additions.
Despite a terrible start, particularly at Manchester United, the Red Devils still find themselves in sixth position and just five points behind the leaders.
The main area where they are still consistently having problems is in the back-line, and if the Norwegian manager doesn’t iron out the issues there, the second half of the campaign could be in marked contrast to the same period last campaign when Bruno Fernandes was secured and the Red Devils improved immeasurably.

France international will have 18 months left on his current contract and would plug a gap as both an elite defender and strong leader in the Norwegian manager’s side.
He did switch agent to join Base Soccer in September, a company Red Devils have a good relationship with and is in the perfect age bracket for a centre-back. However, the rumoured interest may just be the work of Raphael’s new agent to broker an improved contract with the Spanish club
